                                           97.4 Pound World Record King Salmon

 

                                          This world record king salmon was caught on the Kenai River

                           by Soldotna, Alaska's local Ford Dealer, Les Anderson back on May 17, 1985.

                                    Les was fishing with a friend from a private boat when he hooked

                                      into this monster. The massive king was not weighed until 10

                                                      hours after being landed near Eagle Rock.

                                The ADF&G has estimated that the kings weight may had been as high

                                 as 105 pounds when first caught. The guy thought he had a large

                                        king but had no idea that it was a hundred pound class king.
